We want you to be proud of your new home from the very beginning, so we make every effort to maintain a clean and safe job site all the way through the building process. We accomplish this through the use of waste-reducing construction methods, efficient scheduling, and a diligent site-management program.
3. Thompson-Rhodes Builders, Inc. is committed to the concept of "Green Building." We build quality homes with the least possible toll on the environment. All building is taxing on the environment to a degree, but we make every effort to build in the most environmentally friendly way possible through our programs of erosion control, waste management, and energy efficiency, as well as our environmentally conscious use of materials and construction methods.
4. A Thompson-Rhodes home is forever. We do not cut corners. We use only the best materials, installed to manufacturers specifications for best performance, in most cases exceeding building code requirements. We are always on the lookout for new and innovative materials and methods to produce a better quality home at an affordable price. However, we will not use a product or adopt a new way of doing something just because it's cheaper. We must be sure that it will perform as well or better than our current materials and methods.
5. We build each and every home as a show home. We are very proud of what we build, and we want you to be proud of your new home. We know you will be happy to show your new home to your friends, and tell them what a wonderful experience it was to work with Thompson-Rhodes Builders, Inc. 6. As a new homeowner you will receive an Owner's Manual filled with information about your new home and instructions on how to maintain it. It will include “As Built” drawings showing how it was constructed as well as the locations of utility service lines, septic systems, and anything else that may be covered up that you may need to find later. Your owner's manual will also contain important information such as copies of contracts, change orders, names and addresses of main subcontractors, as well as information about the fixtures that went into your home. The section on maintenance will include operating instructions for all heating and cooling systems, water heater, and any other appliances we install, as well as a schedule of recommended maintenance and service. You will find this a valuable tool for maintaining your home in top condition, to enjoy for many years to come.
7. Thompson-Rhodes Builders, Inc. is an Energy Star Partner, which means your home will be built to Energy Star standards and be certified by an independent Energy Star consultant. 8. All of our homes include a Third Party Warranty through Bonded Builders Home Warranty Association. In addition to the standard one year warranty required by law, each home carries an additional 10-year warranty against major structural defects.
